Former WSOP Player of the Year and four-time bracelet winner Jeff Madsen is chipping up nicely in our main event, with a stack of over 400,000. About 75,000 of those chips came in a recent hand where he busted Sayan Mondal.
Madsen raised from early position and both blinds called.
The flop was 7h7dTd and madsen bet 4,000 into a pot of around 10,000. The small blind folded and Mondal called from the big blind.
The turn was the 5h and Mondal lead out for 12,000. Madsen made the call.
The river brought the 8d and Mondal lead out for 25,000. Madsen put him all-in and Mondal called and revealed the Td4d for a diamond flush, but his hopes were dashed when Madsen showed pocket fives for a full house and sent him to the rail.
This leaves the dangerous Madsen with well over 100 big blinds and makes him one of the biggest stacks in the flight at the time of this writing. We've lost Kyna England, David 'ODB' Baker, Ryan LaPlante, and Joseph Hebert, making Madsen's path to victory a little easier.
