The Mystery Bounty event started three days ago and drew a field of 420 entries, but tonight we finally have a winner. Forty-five bounties were paid, ranging from $500 to $15,000, and a prize pool of $125,000 on top of the $75,000 in bounties made for a big day for some of our competitors.
Christopher Keller from Henderson, Nevada took down the first place prize of $25,430 and the coveted PokerAtlas trophy. Keller also managed to score ten bounties, including the biggest bounty of the event, $15,000.
The heads up battle raged on until level 28 at 11:20 p.m. on day two. Keller prevailed over second place finisher Russel Mcclean after a lengthy heads up battle. With the win Keller adds to his previous total of over three hundred thousand dollars in tournament winnings. Mcclean took home $18,040 plus bounties.
Keller previously worked at an oil refinery in Bismarck, North Dakota. When he was laid off, he moved to his new home in Henderson, Nevada to play poker. If this week was any indication, it's going very well!
