In a battle of youth vs. experience, the much younger Ethan Cook prevailed over Poker Hall Of Fame inductee and tournament legend Jack McClelland Saturday night after a short heads up battle. The seventy-four year old McClelland was the tournament director of the World Series of Poker for many years and also held the position at The Bellagio for a dozen years. Cook, and most of the rest of the table, had no idea they were playing with a legend until our reporter informed them.

Cook, who works in real estate and lives in Draper, Utah, took down the trophy and the $3,700 payday when they got all-in on a 756 board. McClelland showed K5 for a pair, but Cook's jacks held up to win the pot. The two shook hands and Cook smiled with the trophy and discussed the points race for the Player Of The Series Trophy with third place finisher, and the winner of our first Nightcap event, Jeff Niedelman. The two are neck and neck with Matthew Betti in the points race at the moment, but the title event and one more Nightcap could mean the difference for anyone in the top 25.

This wasn't Cook's first win at Resorts World, in fact he took down another Nightcap event for $1,500 in January. He has $48,772 in previous tournament winnings over the last few years including a cash in the WSOP Main Event.
