Cheers of "LA LA LA LA LA LA!" erupted throughout the room as the huge fan favorite and Texas Card House ambassador La Sengphet busted second place finisher Austin Heddin. Heddin shoved for nine big blinds with J5o and Sengphet called with 8d4d. A flop of 4d3h6d was another big sweat with possibilities for both players. The turn was the 6h for no help, but the river Jd gave Sengphet a flush and a huge victory.
Heddin will get $71,890 for second place after playing his heart out all night, while Sengphet earns $102,520 and the stunning Poker Atlas trophy for the victory. A dozen hugs later La was still smiling and laughing. Winning never gets old, even for a player like La who has a string of victories going back years. Congratulations to La Sengphet, Austin Heddin, and all of our players here at Texas Card House in Dallas. The Dallas Duel III is over and we look forward to running another next year!
