Bates had the chip lead at close of registration and he had all of the chips at the end of the tournament as well.

The final table of the PokerAtlas Tour $25k GTD NLH Sendoff started with just seven players as three players were simultaneously eliminated on the final table bubble. The field slowly reduced to just five players and then eliminations came one after another until Marvin Miller and Scott Bates were the last two standing.

Bates had an overwhelming chip lead. There were a few limped pots that more or less checked down. There were a few single-raised pots that were taken down preflop and then Miller made a comment.

"Only 50 more hands until I have this tournament," Miller said. Then Miller went all in and Bates called.

Miller: K♥T♣
Bates: 9♠8♣
Board: T♥8♠3♦5♦8♦

Miller was ahead with high cards and then both players paired the flop. The turn was a brick and the river and tournament belonged to Bates with the 8♣.

Miller collects $9,150 for second place and Bates takes home $14,730 for his first place finish.
