Amazing Food Options At Resorts World

As a regular at Resorts World, and an amateur food critic, no one is better suited to answer the age old question "What's good here?" And the answer is…. Almost everything!

One of my favorite things about the room is the fantastic food options and how easy it is to get food here. There's a ton of space between the tables, so eating at the poker table is easy during long sessions when the game is too good to leave, which is often the case at Resorts World.

Most of the food, which you can order right from the screen in the poker room or from a food runner, comes from the food court. The food court is mostly asian street food themed, with a few other things like chicken and waffles mixed in.

The high points for me are -

Suns Out Buns Out

When the big mixed game starts early, nearly everyone orders from SOBO to start their day. The breakfast sandwiches are delicious, the donuts from the attached donut shop are great, but the real star for me is the poutine. For you southerners who are unfamiliar with poutine, it's a Canadian dish that starts with fries covered in gravy. But it's somehow more than that.

The poutine from SOBO is not necessarily "authentic". As a Minnesotan (it's like Canada but colder) I know something of poutine. And I don't care if it's authentic in this case. Because it's delicious! The SOBO version includes tender pulled short rib meat, cheese curds, and two kinds of gravy. I've never seen anyone order it and not immediately devour the whole thing.

Pro Tip - You can order the Loco Moco with the short rib meat instead of hamburger. And you should.

Resorts World Poker Room food Menu

Dawg House

The Dawg is Southern bar food at it's best. From chicken and waffles to burgers and hot dogs, all the food offerings are excellent, but it's the nachos that shine for me. I order them with tots (not on the menu but they're happy to do it) and take half of it home for the next day's lunch.

You can also order solid Pho, Ramen, Teriyaki bowls, healthy offerings from Salad Jack's, Vegan offerings from Crossroads, and one of my favorites, Geylang claypot rice (try the tender beef claypot). Sushi, Nori, duck tacos (yes!), and even fish and chips will all knock your socks off. I've said many times, without being paid a penny to do it, that this is the best poker room food I've ever had. Even the barbecue place is good, and most other barbecue in Vegas fails to meet my high standards.

Having food this good delivered to the table, and paying for it with comps, makes for a great experience. And it's a smart move by the poker room. I know that I play longer sessions, and I'm happier to do it, whenI don't have to sit out and walk to the food court to buy a six-inch sub or order a pizza. Well done Resorts World. Keep it up.
