Clayton Gongora outduels Ravee ‘Sonny’ Sundara tonight to take the win in Event 5 of the 2023 PokerAtlas Tour Dallas series – $100,000 Guaranteed $500 PLO Payday.

Gongora cashes for $32,570 and owns one of the uber-cool PokerAtlas Tour trophies. Sundara takes home $22,450 as runner-up.

Players begin competition with 30,000 stacks and play 30-minute levels throughout the entire tournament. Registration and the unlimited-entry period remains available until the start of level 9 at 3:30 pm.

This is the second to last starting flight in this event. The only other chance to play is tonight’s Flight F starting at at 5 pm.

12.5 percent of the players in each flight earn a tournament cash, and 10 percent of each field make day 2 on Thursday at 1 pm.

Day 2 plays down to a winner.

Players surviving multiple Day 1 flights advance to Day 2 and play their largest chip stack. Lesser stacks are removed from play and receive a Day 2 mincash.

The fourth flight of the $100,000 guarantee multi-flight PLO Event 5 is is back from their second break of the day, and the clock says there are currently 17 players remaining in the field, and 72 total entries.

Eight players from this first flight will make the money.  7 of those 8 players will bag at the end of the flight and head to Day 2 on Thursday Aug. 24th at 1 pm. The 8th place finisher will take home $750.

On the second break it’s Danyeil Walters that holds the top spot in the counts at the end of registration with 385,500. Rounding out the top three are David Moreno (237,500) and Frederic Roetker (196,000).

This event boasts a total of six starting flights, two per day held at Texas Card House Dallas.

Clayton Gongora bagged the top stack, ending the day with 507,000. Gongora was the only player to have passed the 400k chip mark as the next biggest stack was the 388,000 belonging to Sayed Khan. Rounding out the top three is Ravee Sundara (350,000).
